The Vetta Unified Inbox consolidates all prospect, customer, and partner interactions across Email, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn into organized conversation threads, enabling teams to maintain context and respond efficiently without switching between platforms. This article covers replying, working through AI drafts, and keeping threads organised.
Conversation threads
Communication with each contact is grouped into threads displaying the full message history. Thread previews show the contact's name, channel icon, recent message snippet, last interaction timestamp, and unread indicator, plus whether the contact is tracked in your People database, for quick scanning and prioritization. Threads from a sequence also carry the sequence name and a sentiment tag (see Reply sentiment below).
Message timeline and formats
Opening a conversation reveals a chronological message timeline showing all exchanges. Vetta supports viewing and sending images, documents, voice notes, and file attachments; all remain accessible within the conversation.
Each message shows its channel of origin. A reply goes out from the account the conversation is on, and the sender control next to Send shows which one, so replies always go out through the right identity. On a conversation a teammate shared with you, the sender is locked to their account (see Using inbox filters, views, and collaboration).
Conversation organisation
- Tracked / Not in People: whether the contact is linked to your People database; use Add to people to track them (see Linking conversations to CRM records)
- Favourites: pin important threads so they surface in the Favourites section
- Archived: hidden from the main list but retained for reference; find them with the Archived filter
- Groups: group conversations, listed in their own section
- Shared Threads: threads teammates have shared with you
Replying
The reply composer supports:
- Manual replies with rich text, emoji, links, images and file attachments, plus Templates for messages you send often
- AI reply: the agent reads the chat history and drafts a response. Optionally give it tone, goal, or details, and pick files under Business context (optional) so the draft reflects your product (see Business context and AI skills). The popover shows how many credits will be used before you click Generate.
- Compose email and Start chat for new outbound conversations, plus reply-all and forwarding for email
On LinkedIn you can also send an InMail to someone outside your network, if the account has Premium or Sales Navigator (see Managing LinkedIn conversations).
Reviewing and sending an AI draft
When someone replies to a sequence that has AI Reply Settings turned on, a draft answer is already waiting for you, together with a task to review it. In the conversation list, the thread is marked Draft.
- Open the conversation and read what they said
- Check the draft in the reply box below the thread
- Change anything you like: a day, a price, or a line in your own words
- Check the sending account shown next to Send, then click Send
If the draft isn't right, the bin beside Send discards it and leaves you an empty box. You can also click the AI button to write a fresh draft with your own instructions.
Reviewing, editing and sending an AI-written reply. When someone answers a sequence with AI reply turned on, the conversation is marked Draft in green. Open it, read their message, edit the draft in the reply box, and click Send; it goes out from the account shown next to Send. The bin beside Send discards a draft, and the AI button writes a fresh one from your own instructions. Use it when a prospect replies and you want to stay in control of every word.

When someone replies to a sequence that has AI reply turned on, a draft answer is already waiting. In your list, it's marked Draft, in green. Open the conversation, read what they said, and check the draft in the reply box below. Change anything you like: a day, a price, or a line in your own words. It goes out from the account this conversation is on, shown next to Send. Hit Send, and your reply lands in the thread. If a draft isn't right, the bin beside Send discards it, and you're back to an empty box. Or click the AI button to write a fresh one with your own instructions. Either way, you stay in control of every word, without starting from a blank page. Every Monday, Alex asks Claude to follow up on positive replies. Claude reads 214 conversations and drafts nine replies. Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant you connect to Vetta works on your real workspace, so repeat this, then give it a bigger job each week. In the Inbox, edit each draft, then send it yourself.
Vetta never sends a reply on its own. Drafts wait in the conversation until a person reviews them and clicks Send, so you stay in control of every word.
Clearing your draft queue
When several replies come in at once, work through them as a queue:
- Open the filter button and choose Drafted, so you only see conversations with an answer waiting on you
- Open the first one, read their message, check the draft, and send it
- Once it's sent, the draft is gone, so the conversation drops out of the list
- Move to the next one, editing where you need to
When the list is empty, every reply has been answered. Set the filter back to All to return to the full inbox.
Working through a pile of replies quickly. Open the inbox filter and choose Drafted so you see only conversations with an answer waiting. Open the first, read the message, edit the draft where needed, send it, and the conversation drops out of the list. Repeat until the list is empty, then clear the filter to return to the full inbox. Use it for a Monday-morning backlog of replies. Editing a single draft is covered in the review video.

Monday morning, and a stack of replies is waiting, each with a draft ready. Open the filter and choose Drafted, so you only see conversations with an answer waiting on you. Open the first one, read their message, check the draft, and send it. Once it's sent, the draft is gone, so the conversation drops out of the list. Move to the next one. Edit where you need to, a time here, a detail there, then send. Keep going down the list. When it's empty, every reply has been answered. Clear the filter, and you're back to the full inbox. Every Friday, Alex asks Claude to clear his reply queue. Claude drafts 26 replies and sets 5 aside. Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant you connect to Vetta works on your real workspace, so repeat this every Friday, then give it bigger jobs. In the Inbox, open Drafted, edit each one, then send it yourself.
Reply sentiment
When a lead in a sequence replies, Vetta classifies the reply as Interested, Info requested, Not now, Out of office, Wrong person, Not interested or Unsubscribe. The classification moves the lead's stage and shows as a tag on the thread. Only replies from leads in a sequence are classified, and the tag cannot be edited by hand yet. You can still change the lead's stage yourself from the conversation header.
Thread actions
On any thread you can:
- Mark as read / unread
- Add to Favourites (pin)
- Archive (or Unarchive an archived thread)
- Share Conversation with teammates
- Add comments on a message for internal discussion
- Add to people or Remove from people, and set the lead's stage
Select multiple threads to apply bulk actions at once: Add to Favourites, Un Sync, Archive, or Mark as Read (Mark as Unread when every selected thread is already read). Un Sync removes the contacts from your People database (see Managing personal or unsynced conversations). Sharing is done one conversation at a time from the conversation header.
Common questions
How do I know which account my reply goes out from?
A reply goes out from the account the conversation is on, and the sender control next to Send shows which one. On a conversation a teammate shared with you, the sender is locked to their account. See Message timeline and formats.
Will Vetta send an AI draft without me?
No. Drafts wait in the conversation until a person reviews them and clicks Send. See Reviewing and sending an AI draft.
How do I find every conversation with a draft waiting for me?
Open the filter button and choose Drafted. Each conversation drops out of the list once its draft is sent, and All brings back the full inbox. See Clearing your draft queue.
Can I change the sentiment tag on a thread?
Not yet: the tag can't be edited by hand. You can still change the lead's stage yourself from the conversation header. See Reply sentiment.
Why doesn't a reply have a sentiment tag?
Only replies from leads in a sequence are classified. Replies from anyone else show no tag. See Reply sentiment.
Where did my archived conversation go?
It left the main list but is kept in full: choose Archived in the filter menu to find it, and Unarchive to bring it back. See Conversation organisation.
What does Un Sync do to a conversation?
It removes the contacts from your People database. The conversation stays in your inbox. See Thread actions.
Key outcome
You can now answer every conversation from one place, through the right account, and clear a queue of AI drafts without starting from a blank page. Every reply still goes out only when you click Send, and the threads you keep, pin or archive stay organised for the next time you open the inbox.
