Notifications in Vetta
What Vetta notifies you about: messages, pipeline updates, tasks, workflows, and how to choose email or in-app alerts in Settings.
Updated October 25, 2026 · 5 min read
Vetta keeps you informed about the things that need attention (a new message from a prospect, a teammate moving a deal, a failed step to retry) without you having to watch the app. Notifications appear in the notification drawer (click Notifications at the top of the sidebar; its count shows your unread items), by email, and as toast messages while you work.
What Vetta notifies you about
Communication Updates
- New LinkedIn Message from a Lead: a lead or prospect messaged you on LinkedIn
- New WhatsApp Message from a Customer: a customer sent a WhatsApp message that may need a real-time response
These two arrive by email; they are not shown in the in-app drawer, because the messages themselves already land in your Inbox.
Team Collaboration
- Team Member Updates Pipeline Status: a colleague changed a pipeline stage
- Team Member Shares a Document or Note with You: a colleague shared content with you (including shared inbox threads)
Task and Project Management
- Task Assignment: you were assigned a new task
- Task Deadline Approaching: one of your tasks is due soon
Automation events
- Workflow form input: a workflow reached a Form step and is waiting for your input. Failed workflow runs show in the workflow's Runs tab
- Sequence notifications: events from your outreach campaigns
- Enrichment: an enrichment run completed
- Contact merge: records were merged by duplicate management
User and Permission Changes
- Permission Updates and role changes affecting your account.
Configuring notifications
Open Settings > Notifications (under Account Settings). Notifications are grouped into sections (Communication Updates, Team Collaboration, Task and Project Management, User and Permission Changes), and each type has its own Email and App toggle. The master Email and App toggles at the top switch a whole channel on or off: enable what matters for your role, silence the rest.
A useful baseline: reps keep communication updates and task notifications on; managers add pipeline-status changes; whoever owns your workflows checks their Runs tab after a change.
Working the notification drawer
Click Notifications in the sidebar to open the drawer over whatever you are working on. A green dot marks what is new. Tabs split it into All, System, Collaboration, Enrichment and Access requests. Tick an item to mark it read as you handle it, or open the ⋮ menu and choose Mark all as read to clear the count. Notifications deep-link to the relevant record, conversation, or workflow so you can act immediately.
Failed steps and retries
Much of what lands in the drawer comes from work Vetta does in the background:
- A sequence step failed: the notification says what went wrong and how to fix it
- A contact can't be reached on WhatsApp: the step could not be delivered to that number
- Platform Rate Limit Reached: a sender hit a platform's rate limit, so Vetta pauses that sender until the next day, then resumes it on its own
- An enrichment finished: with how many contacts were enriched, partly found or not found
Once you have fixed the cause of a failed step, click Retry on the notification. The step runs again and the notification is marked as read. Failed leads can also be retried from the sequence's analytics; see Monitoring & optimizing results.
Reading notifications about what Vetta does in the background, and retrying failures. Click Notifications in the sidebar to open the drawer, where a green dot marks new items. It reports failed sequence steps, contacts that cannot be reached on WhatsApp, sender rate limits (the sender pauses for a day, then resumes on its own) and finished enrichments with enriched, partly found and not found counts. Each failure says what went wrong. Fix it, click Retry, and the step runs again. Filter by tab or mark read.

Notifications keep you posted on everything Vetta does in the background. Click Notifications in the sidebar, and the drawer opens over whatever you're working on. A green dot marks what's new. You'll see when a sequence step fails, when a contact can't be reached on WhatsApp, and when a sender hits a platform rate limit, which pauses it for a day and then resumes on its own. You'll also hear when an enrichment finishes, with how many contacts were enriched, partly found or not found. Every failed step says what went wrong and how to fix it. Once you've fixed it, click Retry. The step runs again, and the notification is marked as read. Use the tabs to filter by type, tick the box on a card to mark it read, or clear them all from the menu. After a LinkedIn disconnect, Alex asks Claude to retry what failed. Claude retries seven of nine and leaves two. Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant you connect to Vetta works on your real workspace, so delegate it, then give it a bigger job each week. In Notifications, fix those two numbers, then retry them yourself.
Common questions
Why don't new LinkedIn or WhatsApp messages show in the notification drawer?
Those two arrive by email only. The messages themselves already land in your Inbox, so the drawer doesn't repeat them. See Communication Updates.
How do I stop getting notification emails?
Open Settings > Notifications and switch off the master Email toggle at the top, or turn off the Email toggle on just the types you don't want. See Configuring notifications.
How do I clear the unread count?
Open the drawer, click the ⋮ menu and choose Mark all as read. You can also tick items one by one as you handle them. See Working the notification drawer.
A sequence step failed. What do I do?
Read the notification: it says what went wrong and how to fix it. Fix the cause, then click Retry on the notification and the step runs again. See Failed steps and retries.
What does "Platform Rate Limit Reached" mean?
A sender hit a platform's rate limit. Vetta pauses that sender until the next day, then resumes it on its own, so there's nothing to fix. See Failed steps and retries.
Will I be notified when a workflow fails?
Not in the drawer: failed workflow runs show in the workflow's Runs tab. You are notified when a workflow reaches a Form step and is waiting for your input. See Automation events.
Why did I get a "Contact merge" notification?
Records were merged by duplicate management, and the team is told so everyone knows the data changed. See Automation events and Managing duplicates and merging.
Which notifications should I keep on?
Reps keep communication updates and task notifications on, managers add pipeline-status changes, and whoever owns your workflows checks their Runs tab after a change. See Configuring notifications.
Key outcome
Notifications are what make Vetta's automation safe to leave running: sequences and workflows work on their own, and you hear about exactly the moments that need a person (a waiting reply, a moved deal, a failed step) and can fix and retry them without watching dashboards all day.
